The number of manufacturers that offer true gaming laptops is limited, and each brand has a distinctive style. Here you can find gaming laptops sorted by brand:

• Alienware: Alienware gaming laptops probably have the best reputation in the industry. While they are regarded as expensive, you can often find good deals and, anyway, their attractive design and high build quality are usually worth the price. Alienware is a brand owned by Dell.
• Asus: Asus is a well-known manufacturer of computer components, specially motherboards, but they are also one of the largest manufacturers of laptops. Their G series of gaming laptops feature an excellent design and good performance for the price, but they are usually not customizable. Asus is one of the main manufacturers to offer laptops supporting Nvidia 3D Vision technology.
• Clevo/Sager: Clevo laptops are always sold under a different brand: Sager, Eurocom, AVADirect… Clevo laptops are very popular because of their good price/performance ratio, but final price can differ a lot depending on the reseller. Sager is one of the most popular brands for Clevo laptops.
• MSI: MSI makes both branded gaming laptops and barebones that are sold under other brands (i.e. Medion). MSI gaming laptops usually offer a good price/performance ratio.
• Toshiba: Toshiba has a single gaming laptop, the Qosmio X500. It’s not among the most powerful, but it’s a good laptop, Toshiba style.

Other manufacturers make laptops that can be interesting for gaming, such as: Acer and its subsidiaries (Gateway, Packard Bell), Hewlett Packard and Sony.
