MSI is, similarly to Asus, a well-known manufacturer of computer components, but they have an interesting line of laptops, including gaming ones. MSI gaming laptops are usually quite affordable, and most complains about cooling and build quality in the  older models (GX740, GX640 and older) have vanished in the new ones. MSI laptops can sometimes be found as barebones or rebranded (i.e. Medion laptops usually are rebranded MSI ones).

The MSI Gaming series currently contains the following laptops:

• MSI GT660: 15.6-inch, Nvidia GeForce GTX 285M
• MSI GX660: 15.6-inch, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870
